John Carpenter is set to direct an adaptation of Randy Queen's comic series DARKCHYLDE, reports Shock Till You Drop. The story follows Ariel Chylde, a Southern teen whose nightmares transform her into the creatures in her Id.

Carpenter will produce with Sandy King's Storm King Prods. and Randy and Sarah Queen's Darkchylde Ent.
