David Guivant, of New Caledonia in the South Pacific Islands, matches his love of sci-fi with his talent for digital animation and visual effects. Three years ago, his fan-made trailer for the Invincible Iron Man TV show garnered over 440,000 views, and now he’s translating his fandom of classic anime and manga in pursuit of his new project, Captain Future.

Based on the sci-fi pulp hero of the 1940s and 50s and subsequent Japanese anime of the 1970s, Captain Future will follow the adventures of Curtis Newton, a brilliant scientist and adventurer who roams the solar system solving problems, righting wrongs, and vanquishing futuristic super villains.
