Capilano U Lit Prof to Pen Wedge's Live-Action Debut

Ryan Knighton, who is an author and contemporary literature teacher at Capilano University, has landed the job of adapting Paul Hoffman's WINGS OF MADNESS: ALBERTO SANTOS-DUMONT AND THE INVENTION OF FLIGHT, which will mark Chris Wedge's live-action directing debut, reports Variety.

The story follows balloon and dirigible pilot Santos-Dumont at the turn of the century as famed leads to insanity.

Nikki Levy will oversee for Wedge Works World Wide.

Knighton, who is blind, previously adapted his memoir COCKEYED, which chronicles his slow sight loss starting at 18.
