Design studio B1 Media, which currently includes DVD and gaming divisions and a broadcast design arm, has formed B1 Productions to produce featurettes and documentaries for DVDs and content for television. As part of this new division, producers Brent Zacky and Erin Zelle have been brought on board. In addition to producing duties, Zacky and Zelle will be involved in B1's move into the production arena by developing properties for cable and network television clients. Zacky was most recently a supervising producer, writer and director with Van Ness Films. Previously, Zacky was a producer, director and writer with E! Entertainment Television. Zelle also leaves the ranks of E! Entertainment where she was a segment producer on several E! TRUE HOLLYWOOD STORY episodes and was a producer for E!'s RANK series. Zelle also produced HOMES WITH STYLE for E!'s sister network Style. "In Brent and Erin we have acquired two professionals who bring both tremendous creative and managerial assets," said B1 co-founder Brian Johnson. "Through the formation of B1 Productions and the addition of talented producers, the company's presence in consumer entertainment media will dramatically expand." For the past five years, B1 has focused primarily on interactive projects, providing numerous titles for Hollywood film studios including Disney, 20th Century-Fox, Artisan, Warner Bros., New Line Cinema, DreamWorks and Universal.
