Avatar Eclipses Titanic Domestic Box-Office Numbers
According to Twentieth Century Fox, James Cameron's AVATAR has passed his previously held domestic box-office record for TITANIC.
On Tuesday, AVATAR reached $601,141,551 in domestic ticket sales after 47 days in theaters. TITANIC earned $600,788,188 for its entire run. AVATAR already passed up TITANIC's international and worldwide records.
