AMC has purchased the UFO drama THUNDERSTRUCK from writing/directing team Paul Boardman and Scott Derrickson and BATTLESTAR GALACTICA exec producer David Eick, reports Deadline.com. Boardman and Derrickson will pen the teleplay, which follows strange beings that begin popping up all over the world. The writing duo will also exec produce with Eick. Derrickson (THE EXORCISM OF EMILY ROSE) is set to helm the pilot as well.
