J.J. Abrams is finishing up a script for what is being described as an homage to Steven Spielberg's films of the '70s and '80s, reports VULTURE. The LOST exec producer is also in talks with Spielberg to have him involved in the project in some capacity.

While it has a title, Abrams is keeping that secret as well as the plot. What is known is common folk will face other-worthy phenomena.

Abrams is set to direct the Paramount production, which is set to start production this fall.
