3D animator Lawrence Nimrichter has joined digital studio Spontaneous Combustion. Prior to Spontaneous, Nimrichter spent five years as an animator and technical director at Atomic Pictures in San Antonio, where he worked on commercial projects for Coca-Cola, Ford Motor Co., Corona, Sony, Televisa, Kraft, Procter & Gamble, Tecate, JC Penney, and agencies including McCann Erickson (Mexico City), JWT (Mexico City), Bromley Communications (San Antonio, TX) and Alazraki y Asociados (Mexico City), among others. According to Spontaneous’ managing director Roe Bressan, "Lawrence has extensive experience in modeling, character animation and CG effects. His enthusiasm about what he is doing is contagious and greatly adds to the level of creativity at Spontaneous. Each member of our team has a unique skill-set. Experience has shown us that the exchange of ideas expands the skills of the entire staff and enhances the overall quality of work produced for our clients.” Nimrichter also served as vice-chairman of the San Antonio chapter of ACM SIGGRAPH, and was honored in 2000 with a Mentorship Award from the San Antonio Northside Independent School District for mentoring high school students in 3D animation.
