Peep and Rolie Polie Olie Top Daytime Emmy Awards

PEEP and ROLIE POLIE OLIE were the big animation winners as the National Television Academy presented the 32nd Annual Creative Craft Daytime Emmy Awards on Saturday, May 14, 2005 during simultaneous black-tie ceremonies held at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City and the Grand Ballroom at Hollywood and Highland in Los Angeles. Outstanding Children's Animated Program was awarded to PEEP AND THE BIG WIDE WORLD while Outstanding Special Class Animated Program went to ROLIE POLIE OLIE.

The Emmy Award for Outstanding Individual Achievement in Animation was presented to Ellen Jin Over, color director for JAKERS! THE ADVENTURES OF PIGGLEY WINKS for the episode Milk Melodrama and Rossen Varbanov, storyboard artist for BRANDY & MR. WHISKERS for the episode The Monkey's Paw. The Animation Emmy is a juried award for a single episode of a series or a special.

XIAOLIN SHOWDOWN and THE BATMAN shared honors for Outstanding Achievement in Sound Editing - Live Action and Animation while KIM POSSIBLE (nominated in five categories) won one Emmy for Outstanding Achievement in Sound Mixing - Live Action and Animation.

SESAME STREET won for Outstanding Pre-School Children's Series as well as Art direction and directing in childrens series.

Awards were presented in such categories as: Directing in a Talk Show; Casting Director for a Drama Series; Art Direction/Set Decoration/Scenic Design; Writing in a Childrens Series; Costume Design/Styling; Multiple Camera Editing; Music Direction and Composition; Directing in a Childrens Series; Outstanding Childrens Series; Outstanding Pre-School Childrens Series and Outstanding Service Show. The Creative Craft Daytime Emmy Award recipients were chosen by a panel of their peers in 41 categories.

Emmy Awards are presented to daytime television programs that are broadcast nationally between the hours of 2 a.m. and 6 p.m. The eligibility period for this years Daytime Emmy Awards was January 1, 2004 December 31, 2004.

Daytime Emmy Awards in 17 additional categories, primarily for performances and programs, including the Lifetime Achievement Award will be presented at the 32nd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards on May 20 at 9-11:00 pm (ET) on CBS.
