ARLINGTON -- PBS KIDS announced that full-length episodes and clips from PBS KIDS programs are now available to users in the United States directly on Apple TV, offering the number-one children’s media brand’s curriculum-based content to more families. PBS KIDS programming on Apple TV includes thousands of videos, with new content updated weekly from award-winning, trusted series that provide proven educational benefits for children. Users can access episodes and clips from favorite series such as Curious George, Dinosaur Train, Peg + Cat, Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood, Arthur, Wild Kratts And Sesame Street. Apple TV viewers can watch this content for free and personalize their PBS KIDS experience by creating a profile and identifying their local PBS station.

“PBS is committed to providing inspiring, educational and innovative media content to the American public across platforms, so we are excited to build on the tremendous success of PBS on Apple TV by adding the PBS KIDS service,” said Ira Rubenstein, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Digital, PBS. “Based on the exponential growth of PBS KIDS’ video streams online, on the PBS KIDS Video App and through other services, we know that parents are increasingly looking for more ways to access their kids’ favorite content, anytime and anywhere. With the launch of PBS KIDS on Apple TV, we look forward to helping meet this need, making it easier for families to find the shows they love on demand.”

PBS KIDS’ launch on Apple TV extends the organization’s commitment to being everywhere kids are, with trusted, educational media. As kids access content on a growing number of different platforms, PBS KIDS is increasingly serving families across America, wherever they live, learn and play. PBS KIDS reaches more kids ages 2-8 and more moms with kids under age 12 than any other kids TV network. PBSKIDS.org has been the top-ranked kids television network site for multi-platform traffic every month in 2014, and in just the past year, the number of users streaming video on the exceptionally popular PBS KIDS Video App has increased 34 percent. Apple TV will broaden PBS KIDS’ reach, providing yet another way for kids and parents to learn and explore through engaging, research-based programming.

PBS launched on Apple TV last November and offers full-length episodes from primetime programs as well as the PBS archives, with new national and local content updated daily. Viewers can access favorite programs such as American Masters, Frontline, Nature, Masterpiece and more on Apple TV. Apple TV viewers can also access locally produced shows from their local PBS stations.
