Andy Whitfield, the original star of Starz's SPARTACUS: BLOOD AND SAND, has died of non-Hodgkin Lymphoma, writes The Hollywood Reporter. He passed away with his wife Vashti by his side in Sydney. He was 39. Whitfield's illness had put the series on break, but ultimately he had to leave the production before the start of the second season.
