Animator Rusty Mills Dies at 49

Former Warner Bros. animator Rusty Mills (Russell P. Mills) died on Friday after battling colon cancer, according to a report by The Winston-Salem Journal. A native of Winston-Salem, Mills was 49.

A graduate of California Institute of the Arts, Mills was best known for his work as a director on Warner Bros. Animation shows such as Animaniacs and Pinky and the Brain. Among his many TV credits are lmyra and the Brain, Tiny Toon Adventures, Garfield’s Thanksgiving, Batman: Mystery of the Batwoman, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, The Replacements, Pink Panther & Pals and last year’s TV movie, A Very Pink Christmas TV.
