In addition to Sony, Partilla has worked for such Y&R clients as Campbell's, Colgate, Kraft and Viacom. He has also won numerous creative and strategic awards, including several Effies and Clios.

"I'm very pleased that John is joining Time Warner, said Don Logan, chairman of Time Warner's Media & Communications Group, to whom Partilla will report. In his 18 years at Y&R, John has played a key role in developing and managing dozens of major global brands across a wide range of industries. He is a highly skilled and creative marketing executive who will bring great energy and fresh ideas to the position. I'm confident that under John's leadership, our Global Marketing group will continue to make it easier and more productive for advertisers to do business across Time Warner."

In 2002, Partilla was elected to the nine-person Y&R NY executive board, as well as the 26-person Y&R Advertising global executive board. He also serves on the board of the New York City Department of Education's Virtual Enterprises program.
