Park City Fests Honor Ryan & Egg

The Sundance and Slamdance Film Festivals have wrapped up their events and honored Chris Landreths RYAN and Benh Zeitlins EGG.

On Jan. 30, 2005, Sundance handed out its prizes with the Oscar-nominated animated short, RYAN, taking a honorable mention in the shorts category.

At Slamdance, EGG took home the Grand Jury Sparky Award for Best Animation Short. The jury commented the film was, a fully realized animation, filled with conflict and tension, that makes perfect narrative sense while defying all common sense. Rubén Möllers SHOEL garnered an honorable mention in the category.

Slamdance also celebrated independent game production with its Bawls Big C Best Game Awards. The Jury Award went to REVOLVED by Alter Ego Games with the Audience Award going to SCAVENGER HUNT by Jackson Dunstan, Jonathan Bryant, Kevin Neece, Doug DaSilva, Eric Smith, Jemal Armstrong, Lolin Turner, Shane McIntire and Ryan Hammond.

The 2005 Slamdance Film Festival ran from Jan. 21-28, 2005. The 2005 Sundance Film Festival ran from Jan. 20-30, 2005. Both festivals take place in Park City, Utah.
