Press Release from LOOK Effects

Hollywood, CA, April 27, 2010 – Visual effects veteran Pam Hogarth has joined LOOK Effects Inc., where she will be working to expand LOOK’s reputation in the visual effects and production industries as Director of Marketing. Her duties include marketing LOOK’s experience and expertise to the film, television, and special venue industries; supervision of publicity and press relations; and expanding and maintaining relations with producers, studios and networks.

“Bringing Pam onboard is a big step in LOOK’s plan to expand our footprint in the visual effects industry. With her many years of experience, extensive network of relationships and insight into our industry, Pam will be a terrific addition to our management team,” says LOOK President Mark Driscoll.  “We’ve known and worked with Pam for many years and feel fortunate to be able to bring her inside.”

Hogarth has spent over 25 years in the world of visual effects, 20 of which have been in marketing and education including stints at the Digital Media Institute, American Film Institute, Visual Software, MARTEC and Digital Productions. Before joining LOOK she spent 12 years helping build Gnomon School of Visual Effects into the premiere educational institution for careers in high-end computer graphics.  Additionally, she has devoted much time and energy to the Visual Effects Society where she has served multiple times on the Board of Directors. She is currently in her fourth year as Executive Secretary and has been one of the abiding Chairs of the Education Committee.

As LOOK’s Director of Marketing, Hogarth has turned her enthusiasm and experience into growing LOOK’ s presence within the visual effects and overall production industry.

“This is such an exciting and challenging step for me,” Hogarth states.  “I’ve known the principals and staff at LOOK for many years and I’ve watched the studio grow and do great work. I even taught Softimage 3D to Henrik Fett [Visual Effects Supervisor/Founder] and Danny Kim [Creative Director/Partner] when I was at the Digital Media Institute. I’m proud of the company LOOK has become and look forward to helping more people learn about what we have to offer.”
