The 59th edition of the Festival de Cannes announced its official selection. DreamWorks Animation returns to coveted event with Tim Johnson and Karey Kirkpatricks OVER THE HEDGE, which screen as part of the Official selection Out Of Competition special screenings.
That section is also where f/x heavy X-MEN: THE LAST STAND from director Brett Ratner and Paul Greenglass 9/11 film, UNITED 93 will screen. In other vfx films to make the festival, Richard Kelly's comedy musical thriller SOUTHLAND TALES, starring the Rock, Seann William Scott, Sarah Michelle Gellar and Mandy Moore, will be part of the official Competition screenings along with MARIE-ANTOINETTE from Sofia Coppola and PAN'S LABYRINTH from Guillermo Del Toro.
As previously announced, Ron Howards adaptation of THE DA VINCI CODE will open the event and Tony Gatlifs TRANSYLVANIA, starring Asia Argento, will close Cannes.
