Jim Cox, the co-exec producer of OVER THE HEDGE and writer of OLIVER & COMPANY, will write the script for Marathon Media's first 3-D feature, reports VARIETY.
Jim Cox, the co-exec producer of OVER THE HEDGE and writer of OLIVER & COMPANY, will write the script for Marathon Media's first 3-D feature, reports VARIETY. The plot for the $15 million production is being kept quiet. Marathon's GM David Michel and president Vincent Chalvon Demersay will begin pitching the film to partners this fall.
Additionally, Marathon has begun production on REKKIT THE RABBIT, which is being described as a cross between SPONGEBOB and BEWITCHED. The story follows a boy who takes in the giant rabbit Rekkit who came from the planet "Chakabrak." The first two seasons will be ready in winter 2011. The series has already sold to TF1 and Disney Channel Europe.
