Open Voting Begins for Boxx's Road to Nirvana VFX Contest With Gnomon

BOXX Technologies announced that open voting has now begun on in its Road to Nirvana Visual Effects Student Contest . In an effort to reinforce its commitment to the community visual effects artists, BOXX teamed with the Gnomon School of Visual Effects to highlight the work of student artists who are pushing the limits of visual effects.

The BOXX "Road to Nirvana" Visual Effects Contest will see winners chosen in two different ways: first, an evaluation of student artwork by a panel of industry experts for the prestigious "Judges Circle Award," and, second, a popular vote, representing digital effects fans' favorite pieces of the competition. The contest is open to all students currently enrolled at Gnomon . The top 12 pieces are now on display in the Road to Nirvana contest gallery on the BOXX website. BOXX encourages visual effects fans to view entries and cast votes for their favorite creations online at the BOXX website. Voting will close on July 27.

BOXX will announce winners of the popular vote on July 31, and will treat them to an expenses-paid trip to the 2007 SIGGRAPH Conference and Expo, where winners will showcase their work in the BOXX Technologies booth, located at booth 1436.
