Actresses Olivia Wilde and Beau Garrett will portray the female lead characters in Disney's upcoming TRON sequel, TR2N, according to THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER.
Details are sparse on the plot, but Garrett will play a siren in the virtual world and Wilde will portray a worker in the virtual world who tries to help fight Master Control Program, the intelligent computer that was the nemesis in the original film.
Commercials director Joseph Kosinski is helming the film, due out in 2011. Jeff Bridges is set to repeat the role he played in the groundbreaking 1982 original, about a hacker who is abducted into the world of a computer and forced to play gladiatorial games to escape.
The film is looking at a spring start.
