NYU's Tisch Asia Opens Animation Graduate Program

NYU's Tisch School of the Arts is offering a new graduate film program in animation at its Tisch Asia campus in Singapore beginning in fall 2008. The application deadline for the MFA program is Jan. 8, 2008.

The Tisch School of the Arts is one of this country's leading training grounds in the media arts. It offers intensive professional education in filmmaking to students whose work in film is serious, conceptually original, technically competent, and artistically experimental. Admission to the program is highly selective, as the program enrolls only 36 new students per year. The program consists of three years of courses and culminates with production of a thesis film.

Distinguished alumni of the Tisch School's film program in New York include Joel Coen, Chris Columbus, Billy Crystal, Martha Coolidge, Ernest Dickerson, Amy Heckerling, Jim Jarmusch, Ang Lee, Spike Lee, Brett Ratner, Nancy Savoca, Martin Scorsese, Susan Seidelman, and Oliver Stone, among many others.
