NYICFF was formed to encourage the creation and dissemination of passionate, intelligent, artistic film productions for ages 3-18. Following launch in 1997, NYICFF has grown quickly to become one of the largest and most prestigious youth film festivals worldwide. The festival presents the programming that pushes the boundaries of style, genre and subject matter to help redefine what is meant by film for kids.
