Since its launch in 1997, NYICFF has become one of the largest and most prestigious youth film festivals worldwide. The emphasis of the festival has always been to provide the highest quality programming while pushing the boundaries of style, genre and subject matter to help redefine what is meant by film for kids. Each year the festival reviews over 1,000 submissions from around the world to select the 50 new films to screen in competition.
