Not To Scale Sign Vincent for Commercials, Video

London-based boutique animation studio Not To Scale have signed London-based directing duo "Vincent" for worldwide commercials and music video representation. The duo who formed Vincent in 2007, John Hill and Rheea Aranha, made a very busy start with projects including last year's BBC2 Christmas campaign and BBC2's iconic "Thursdays are Funny."

They have also recently wrapped directing 44 animated idents for Orange's forthcoming IPTV service through Red Bee, which is due for release later in 2008 and polished off their first production for Not To Scale which was a mixture of live action and animation for a forthcoming product launch for Canon also due out later this year.

It's this versatility that appealed to Not To Scale Founder and Exec Producer Dan O'Rourke, "As what gets picked up on the animation radar widens, it becomes increasingly important for directors to be able to add other strings to their creative bow, indeed if they can have multiple bows all the better and with Vincent we have that rare master of all trades. Their live action work is clever and charming and their animation work covers more visual fx, more graphic design type work through to charming character animation. A formidable double act that we are delighted to add to our roster."

Hill started out in the film industry as a full time art director and lead animator for Useful Companies designing vfx shots, title sequences, script driven onset graphics and video wall animations for THUNDERBIRDS, BOURNE SUPREMACY, TERMINATOR 3 RISE OF THE MACHINES, TOMB RAIDER: CRADLE OF LIFE, LARA CROFT TOMB RAIDER, SPY GAME and XXX.

In 2004 he branched out into the broadcast industry focusing on branding, design and animation. In 2006 worked as a Design Director on the recent ITV rebrand for Red Bee Media.

Aranha is a multiple award winning creative director who worked with agencies such as Red Bee Media. Kemistry and Devil Fish. Aranha worked as lead design director for the largest rebrand in broadcast history, ITV in 2005/6 for Red Bee Media.

She has designed and directed major projects for BBC Network, Discovery Channel, Cartoon Network, ITV Network, BBC Drama, U.K. Film Council, Film Four, Impact Films, Sony Pictures, Keystone Ent., Delia Online, Netherlands National Broadcaster, TV4 Sweden, Living TV, RTE.

Awards include multiple Promax Golds and Silvers, D&AD nominations, Design Week gold and RSA student award.
