Northwest Animation Festival Issues 2015 Call for Entries

The 2016 festival takes place on May 9-15 in Portland; entries can be made for free through September 1, 2015.

Organizers for the 2016 edition of the Northwest Animation Festival have issued a call for entries.

The Northwest Animation Festival collects excellent short animated films from around the world for screening at the annual multi-day gathering in Portland, OR with the goal of creating a large local community of impassioned enthusiasts and inspired artists, and an internationally recognized hub of animation culture.

The 2016 festival will take place on May 9-15 in Portland at the Hollywood Theatre. Most screenings will repeat in Eugene at the Bijou Art Cinemas later that month. Select audience favorites will then be honored in both cities at one-day-only “Best of the Fest” events in September.

Entries can be made for free through September 1, 2015; regular submissions ($20 each for professionals/$10 for students) can be made through October 1. The final deadline for entries is November 1, 2015. The festival will accept any animated film -- from anywhere, made whenever, shown wherever.

Checkout the 2016 Festival Regulations and online entry form for more details on how to submit your work.
