Noodlesoup Prods. Founder Departs Studio

In an increasing American animation tradition, another animation studio founder is leaving the studio he created, as Jeff Nodelman leaves Noodlesoup Prods. to pursue his own independent portfolio. Nodelman will continue to collaborate periodically with the studio on specific projects, according to Nathan Graf, ceo of Noodlesoup.

We wish him much luck in all his pursuits, said Graf. Other animation studio founders who have exited the companies they founded in recent years include Will Vinton, founder of Will Vinton Studios and Phil Roman, founder of Phil Roman Ent.

Noodlesoup Prods. is implementing a ramped up original project development model to include an expanded slate of projects, licensing objectives and new opportunities, according to Graf.

Noodlesoup is collaborating with MSN on Music Man, MSN Messengers new breakthrough application showcased in the activities window during a chat. It dynamically translates chat text into original live music in the users favorite musical genre accompanied by an animated jam-band. Noodlesoup pitched the concept to MSN, built the software application, recorded the original music and produced the animation.

We are excited to be working with the Microsoft team on this brand new addition to MSNs Messenger platform, said Graf. Music Man is a great example of how MSN is pushing the envelope to provide the most compelling and engaging user experience. Music Man is now live on MSN Messenger.

The studio is increasing services for commercials and entertainment projects, including the production of 13 half-hours of the second season of THE VENTURE BROS. for Cartoon Networks Adult Swim program block. Noodlesoup also produced a live-action THE VENTURE BROS. spoof special for THE VENTURE BROS. DVD release.

Noodlesoup is a great animation company, said Nathania Seales, director of Production for Cartoon Network On-Air Productions. Their sense of style, wit and unbelievably talented animators is exactly right for this project. They've got a great reputation and have done excellent work on the Adult Swim series, THE VENTURE BROS. We are excited to be working with Noodlesoup.

The studio is also in production on four shorts for Cartoon Networks SUNDAY PANTS, a Habbo animated short and an opening sequence for MTVs CHICO & GUAPO.

Noodlesoup is also bringing the SESAME STREET book, TOO BIG FOR DIAPERS, to life featuring baby Ernie and Bert as an animated DVD extra for SESAME STREETS video release, ELMOS POTTY TIME.

The studio recently completed production on a spot for Earthlink, an E-Link desktop launch application, is working on a CGI spot for Chloraseptic and is launching The Bridge, an incubator development initiative.
