Nightmare Before Christmas Returns in Disney Digital 3-D

The holiday tradition continues this Halloween when Tim Burton's THE NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS returns to theaters in Disney Digital 3-D on Oct. 19-Nov. 18, including the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood. Industrial Light & Magic worked on the 3-D transfer in collaboration with In-Three Inc. The film will be in three times as many theaters as last year -- around 600 nationwide.

The festivities actually kick off at the El Capitan on Thursday, Oct. 18, at 7:00 pm, with a special opening-night filmmakers' panel and screening. The panel will be hosted by veteran Disney producer Don Hahn (THE LION KING, BEAUTY AND THE BEAST) and feature producer Denise Di Novi, director Henry Selick and supervising animator Mike Belzer (who will present a live onstage demonstration of the art of stop-motion). The El Capitan also celebrates this special engagement with a display of Burton's concept sketches and drawings, as well as original sets, props and artifacts from the film.

Plus, after the panel screening on Thursday, there will be a special 9:50 pm NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS 3-D Sing-a-Long debut screening.
