Nickelodeon Magazine Launches in the U.K.

Nickelodeon Consumer Products UK today confirms a licensing deal with leading children’s book and magazine publisher, DC Thomson, to produce the first ever magazine devoted to Nickelodeon. Nickelodeon Magazine, which is on shelves now, launched across all major magazine retailers across the UK with exclusive content from the network. The magazine, priced at £2.75 will be aimed at the tween/teen girl market, run every three weeks making 17 issues a year and have an initial launch circulation of approximately 40,000. The magazine’s launch is being supported by exclusive on-air marketing on the Nickelodeon channel and every issue will feature an exclusive gift.

Nickelodeon magazine will include exclusive behind-the-scenes content, interviews and photos featuring Nickelodeon’s top rating shows including iCarly, Big Time Rush, Victorious and SpongeBob SquarePants. Also featured, in the launch issue, is House Of Anubis which recently launched in the US to record channel ratings and in the UK ranking Nickelodeon as the number one children’s channel in the UK at launch. In addition to all the latest Nickelodeon news and content the magazine will also include celebrity, pop and TV news, and dedicated style and consumer product sections.

The launch of Nickelodeon Magazine is part of Nickelodeon UK’s brand expansion strategy to increase audience reach and generate new touch points for the channel’s properties and content. Other developments include Nickelodeon Land with Blackpool Pleasure Beach and Nickelodeon Cruises with Norwegian Cruise Lines.
