Nickelodeon, celebrating its 25th birthday this year, will kick off the 49th annual PROMAX&BDA conference at the Summer Garden at Rockefeller Center in New York City with a cocktail reception on the opening night, 8-11:00 pm on June 23, 2004 for conference attendees and other invited guests.

"We've celebrated every milestone in our 25 years by showcasing our work at PROMAX&BDA and it's part of our legacy to be judged by the best critics in the business our peers," said Russell Hicks, svp, Nickelodeon Creative Resources.

"A key part of Nickelodeon's success is the strength and creativity of our promotion and marketing campaigns, and it's only fitting that we celebrate this special occasion with the community that helped shape our vision and present it to the world," said Steve Grieder, svp, Nickelodeon International.

"We are thrilled the folks at Nickelodeon have chosen the opening night of this year's highly anticipated PROMAX&BDA to celebrate the network's 25th birthday with many of the people who have watched Nick," said Jim Chabin, president, PROMAX&BDA.

The gala event, held in the heart of Manhattan at Rockefeller Center, will celebrate Nickelodeons growth to be one of the most recognizable brands in entertainment, entertaining kids around the world through its premier programming like SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS, THE FAIRLY ODDPARENTS, JIMMY NEUTRON and DORA THE EXPLORER.
