New Research VP At Turner's Animation Group

Veteran research strategist Lanie Richberger has been named VP of research for Turner Broadcasting System's Animation, Young Adults and Kids Media (AYAKM) group, it was announced Monday by Jon Marks, SVP of Turner Research. In this capacity, Richberger will be responsible for managing all aspects of research, including organizing, analyzing and reporting on audience ratings, delivery, and user information supporting the cable television networks Cartoon Network, Adult Swim and Boomerang, along with their online businesses and digital enterprises.

Interfacing with organizations such as Nielsen Media Research, Nielsen Online, Rentrak and Omniture SiteCatalyst, Richberger will provide salient research information for Cartoon Network New Media, which markets and distributes network programming to non-traditional media sources such as wireless, broadband and interactive television. Additionally, Richberger will oversee all consumer focus group testing and other quantitative studies, including annual brand studies and syndicated research. Richberger will be based in Atlanta and reports to Marks as well as AYAKM president and chief operating officer, Stuart Snyder.

"Lanie's expertise with kids television, consumer market research, audience trends, branding, licensing digital media and international markets make here the ideal person to help us evolve and grow Cartoon Network, Adult Swim and our digital properties," said Marks.

Richberger joins AYAKM from Sesame Workshop, producer of SESAME STREET and other kids-targeted properties, where she was the leader of its Strategic Trends and Audience Research department. Prior to that, she worked at Seltel providing research support to local broadcast stations.

Richberger earned a bachelor's of science degree in journalism from The University of Florida in Gainesville.
