After tying up a deal with Microsoft's XBox 360 more than a year ago, Netflix has brokered a second major distribution deal with a major videogame console: Sony's PlayStation 3, VARIETY reports.
With this latest move, Netflix now has two of the top three videogame console makers on board with its digital streaming service. More than 9 million PS3 owners in the United States will gain access to Netflix content starting next month.
And with Sony having recently dropped the price of its top-tier console to $299, Netflix is hoping that number will grow and bolster it's position in the home entertainment space.
