Nelvana Repping Saban’s’ Power Rangers’ In France

Corus Entertainment-owned producer and distributor signs new licensees to iconic superhero franchise.

Toronto, Canada -- Corus Entertainment's Nelvana announced their partnership with Saban Brands to represent Power Rangers consumer products in France.

Additionally, Nelvana has signed two new licensees in France for the popular kids action-adventure brand. Sun City (kids’ t-shirts and sleepwear) and Viquel (back-to-school, stationery) now join master toy partner, Bandai, and hundreds of existing Power Rangers licensees around the world.

“We’re thrilled to be able to represent one of the longest-running kid’s series in TV history and add these new licenses to the dynamic Power Rangers portfolio,” said Antoine Erligmann, Co-Head of Nelvana Enterprises. “With the breadth of new content coming out over the next year, this partnership will enhance the Power Rangers experience for kids.”

“Nelvana has a proven track record in establishing kids properties in the French market,” said Gustavo Antonioni, Managing Director, Consumer Products EMEA, Saban Brands. “We look forward to working with their team of experts to bring the iconic Power Rangers franchise to the next level and expand the consumer products program to reach a wider audience of fans.”

In Fall 2015, the newest iteration of the Power Rangers series will debut in France on Gulli with a brand-new, action-packed season called Saban’s Power Rangers Dino Charge. Additionally, Saban Brands and Lionsgate have partnered to produce an original live-action theatrical film based on the original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, which is slated for release in Summer 2016.
