Nelvana Inks Home Entertainment Deal with Universal

Universal Studios Home Ent. Canada and Nelvana Enterprises announced today a seven-year sales services agreement with a potential two-year extension, beginning in fall 2007. The terms of the deal will see Universal manufacture, market and sell five properties on DVD for Nelvana Enterprises in Canada, including JANE AND THE DRAGON, GROSSOLOGY, DI-GATA DEFENDERS, RUBY GLOOM and a feature-length FRANKLIN movie. In all, the deal represents more than 150 episodes.

With a focus on delivering branded entertainment and providing distribution and merchandise licensing opportunities on multiple platforms, Nelvana Enterprises oversees new media partnerships, global broadcast, DVD and video-on-demand sales, and consumer products licensing internationally for animated properties from Nelvana Studios and select production partners. Nelvana Enterprises is owned by Corus Ent. Inc., a Canadian-based media and entertainment company. A publicly traded company, Corus is listed on the Toronto and New York exchanges.
