Nelvana Gets Wild With Willa

Nelvana comes to MIP-TV 2006 with a U.S. sale in tow for its new preschool property from the creative mind of author Dan Yaccarino.

WILLAS WILD LIFE (52x11) is based on the book AN OCTOPUS FOLLOWED ME HOME by OSWALD creator Dan Yaccarino and follows the adventures of Willa, an unforgettable little girl who brings home stray penguins and hippos instead of cats and dogs, much to the chagrin of her understanding but conventional father. So far, this six-year-old critter collector has adopted a giraffe, a couple of elephants, an alligator and so many other exotic animals, theres barely room in Willas room for Willa.

Willas animals are not just her friends, they offer Willa advice and cancel, giving her their unique and often humorous takes on problem-solving. Like a young Lucy in I LOVE LUCY, Willa finds herself in comical predicaments that escalate as she fumbles her way through solutions.
