Neil Patrick Harris and Donald Glover guest star in the new “Adventure Time” episode, “Bad Little Boy,” on Monday, Feb. 18 at 7:30 p.m. (ET, PT).
This February, Cartoon Network’s hit animated series Adventure Time introduces the next chapter in its fan-favorite “Fionna and Cake” (derived by Finn and Jake) saga with the network premiere of “Bad Little Boy.”
Starring highly-regarded comedic actors Neil Patrick Harris (How I Met Your Mother) and Donald Glover (Community), the special episode premieres Monday, Feb. 18 at 7:30 p.m. (ET, PT).
Reprising his role as Prince Gumball from season three’s much-loved gender switch episode “Adventure Time with Fionna and Cake,” Neil Patrick Harris will join Donald Glover, as Marshall Lee, the musical male counterpart to fan favorite Marceline the Vampire Queen in “Bad Little Boy.” In this special episode, the princesses are sick and tired of Ice King’s crazy Fionna and Cake stories, so Marceline stops by the Ice Kingdom to show him how it’s done.
Fans will also get to bring home 2011’s original, top-rated–and gender-flipped – episode of their favorite series with the all-new DVD release of Adventure Time: Fionna and Cake available on Tuesday, February 19.
Adventure Time: Fionna and Cake DVD features a total of 16 episodes from seasons two, three and four of the Emmy Award-nominated series hand-picked by creator Pendleton Ward and the show team. Available for the suggested retail price of $19.82, the DVD features a Land of Ooo character gallery bonus feature and the following episodes:
Adventure Time with Fionna and Cake Storytelling The Other Tarts The Silent King Death in Bloom Still Wizard Battle What Was Missing From Bad to Worse Marceline’s Closet Ghost Princess Incendium Card Wars Princess Cookie You Made Me Lady and Peebles
To help gear-up for the premiere of “Bad Little Boy” and Adventure Time: Fionna & Cake DVD release, Cartoon Network.com launches a new Adventure Time game, “Fionna and Cake,” available beginning February 11. The game features Fionna, Cake and Marshall Lee on their way to Lumpy Space Princess’ party where players will play Fionna, jumping around and taking out flying enemies. The mobile version of the game will be available February 14 and includes special power-up features like spells, characters, potions and swords.
Recently nominated for its third Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Short-format Animated Program, as well as a prestigious BAFTA (British Academy of Film and Television Arts) Award, Adventure Time has become a genuine ratings and pop culture phenomenon since its April 2010 debut. Season four of the series has ranked #1 in its time period with all key kid and boy demos. Guest stars have included Matthew Broderick, George Takei, Donald Faison, Erik Estrada, Andy Milonakis, Emo Phillips, Bobcat Goldthwait and Susie Essman. Additionally, a robust line of consumer products, home entertainment releases and an interactive game release have solidified the brand’s position as a veritable hit with its legions of fans of all ages.
Adventure Time introduces viewers to unlikely heroes Finn and Jake, buddies who traverse the mystical Land of Ooo and encounter its colorful inhabitants. The best of friends, our heroes always find themselves in the middle of heart-pounding escapades. Finn, a silly kid with an awesome hat and Jake, a brassy dog with a big kind heart, depend on each other through thick and thin. From the mind of first-time series creator Pendleton Ward and Cartoon Network Studios, Ooo is a land built for adventure.
