NATPE News: CABLEready To Run 11th Annual NATPE Food Drive

CABLEreadys NATPE Food Project will mark its 11th year of community service this January 2004 by again encouraging exhibitors to donate leftover food from show booths and parties to the Community Food Bank of Clark County. This industry volunteer effort was launched in 1993 by Gary Lico, president/ceo of the international program distribution and development company, after he noticed the amount of food wasted each year at the annual convention. Since the drives inception, more than 15,000 pounds of quality food have been donated to local charities in various NATPE convention cities.

NATPE show participants are encouraged to arrange food donations in advance by contacting CABLEreadys Sophie Beaurpere at (203) 855-7979 x371 or via e-mail at sophie@cableready.net. Donations during the show itself can be made through the CABLEready booth1261.

With the consolidation of most NATPE exhibitors back into one exhibit hall, we expect increased participation in this years food drive, said Lico. And with NATPE settling in to a long run in Las Vegas, we look forward to working with the Community Food Bank on this worthy effort for years to come.

NATPE 2004 will be held Jan. 18-20 at the Sands Expo Center & Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas.
