Nate Kirtman New NBC Universal Television Group Publicity VP

Nate Kirtman has been named to the newly created position of vp, NBC Universal Television Group Publicity, re-joining the department in Burbank, California, following communications roles at GE's corporate headquarters and Aviation business.

"We are fortunate that Nate will be re-joining our team," said Rebecca Marks, evp, NBC Universal Television Group publicity, to whom Kirtman will report. "Nate's affable style, diverse experience and organizational acumen will be key assets as the NBC-U Television Group continues to expand its horizons."

Kirtman will oversee the group's overall media strategy, planning and communications efforts, which includes integrating east and west coast publicity endeavors, among other duties.

Most recently, Kirtman was manager of marketing communications at GE- Aviation, in Cincinnati, responsible for developing and implementing sales and marketing communications for its $5 billion services business.

Prior to that, Kirtman managed the corporate dot-com team at GE's corporate headquarters in Fairfield, Connecticut. He also worked as the GE.com content manager.

Kirtman began his GE career in 1998 as a senior press manager with NBC Ent. in Burbank.

Before NBC, Kirtman was a marketing rep for Warner Bros. International Television Distribution.

In 1992, Kirtman was a ninth-round draft pick of the NFL's Dallas Cowboys.
