Nancy Drew Feature Goes Before Cameras

Production has begun in Los Angeles on the family mystery adventure, NANCY DREW, starring Emma Roberts (Nickelodeon's UNFABULOUS), Josh Flitter (THE GREATEST GAME EVER PLAYED), Max Thieriot (THE PACIFIER) and Tate Donovan (GOOD NIGHT, AND GOOD LUCK.).

Based on characters created by Carolyn Keene, the film follows Nancy (Emma Roberts) as she accompanies her father Carson (Tate Donovan) to Los Angeles on one of his business trips and stumbles across evidence about a long-unsolved crime involving the mysterious death of a beautiful movie star. Nancy's resourcefulness and personal responsibility are put to the test when she finds herself in the middle of the fast-living, self-indulgent world of Hollywood.

Thieriot stars as Nancy's hometown boyfriend Ned and Flitter plays her new friend and fellow Hollywood Hills High School student, Corky.

Produced by Jerry Weintraub (OCEAN'S ELEVEN, OCEAN'S TWELVE), the film is directed by Andrew Fleming (DICK, THE CRAFT), who wrote the screenplay with Tiffany Paulsen. Susan Ekins serves as exec producer. The film is co-produced by Cherylanne Martin. The production team includes director of photography Alexander Gruszynski, A.S.C., production designer Tony Fanning, editor Jeff Freeman and costume designer Jeffrey Kurland.

Nancy Drew is scheduled for a 2007 worldwide release from Warner Bros. Pictures.
