Motion Computing Includes Full Version of Alias SketchBook Pro

Alias and Motion Computing agreed to include the full version of Alias SketchBook Pro on all Motion M1400 Tablet PCs configured with the Motion Pak software package sold worldwide. The bundle combines Motion Computing's cutting-edge Tablet PCs with Alias SketchBook Pro's best-in-class digital pen-based sketching and annotation software.

Alias SketchBook Pro offers unprecedented freedom to sketch ideas, annotate images and documents and present them anywhere. Designed specifically for creative professionals, such as designers, cartoonists or architects, Alias SketchBook Pro is ideal for anyone who desires increased productivity throughout the day, and does not want to be weighed down by cumbersome art tools, paper sketchpads, PCs and scanners.

"Motion and Alias have similar philosophies - lead the market with innovative products that change the way people can collaborate and communicate," says Steve Maric, sales and marketing manager, Alias. "The speed, power and versatility of the three-pound M1400 make it a perfect match to the sketching and annotation tools of Alias SketchBook Pro. For creative professionals, that means the most functional mobile computing option available today."

"Alias SketchBook Pro offers one of the most innovative pen and ink user interface paradigms we have seen for the tablet," says Mark Rylander, Motion's director of software and peripherals marketing. "The unique interface offers a great example of the exciting pen-centric interfaces to come in the future. Alias SketchBook Pro's full support for the pressure-sensitive inking capabilities available on the M1400 enables the ultimate creative expression of our customers. Combined with the M1400's large, 12.1" display with wide viewing angles, Alias SketchBook Pro also supports Motion's education focus, allowing students and teachers to quickly and easily annotate, diagram and illustrate even the most abstract concepts and ideas."

Priced from $1,999, the Motion M1400 Tablet PC uses the Intel Pentium M 1.1GHz ultra-low voltage processor and delivers what many mobile professionals are demanding in a next-generation Tablet PC: improvements in viewability, audio, wireless connectivity, security and power management.
