MONSTER BUSTER CLUB, the new original animated series, is set to premiere on Toon Disney's Jetix action-adventure block tonight (Monday, June 9) at 7 p.m. (ET). MONSTER BUSTER CLUB is the first 3-D animated series from Marathon Media, the producers and creators of the hit shows TOTALLY SPIES!, and MARTIN MYSTERY. With a budget of $21 million, MONSTER BUSTER CLUB has the biggest budget for a CG series this year.
MONSTER BUSTER CLUB, a comedy-action series for 6-11 year olds, follows the adventures of a top-secret group of four 12 year old school friends -- Cathy, Danny, Chris and Sam -- who unmask monstrous intruders from outer space threatening their unassuming hometown of Singletown.
Led by Cathy, a girly girl with super stretchy arms who is actually a good alien in human disguise, the club members use their wits, cool gadgets and pods that shuttle them through underground tunnels to conquer evil and protect the town they love.
Toon Disney is supporting the show with a 52 episode commitment. The channel will also be featuring the MONSTER BUSTER CLUB characters in upcoming Toon Disney PSAs. The MONSTER BUSTER CLUB brand is an immersive interactive, digital experience that extends far beyond the television series. Marathon Media will launch www.monsterbusterclub.tv, a unique online virtual world that will allow kids to interact with content and 3-D videos online.
