New kid-focused YouTube channel to feature toy-game-hybrid animated series ‘Sick Bricks.’

Los Angeles, CA -- Spin Master’s new family-friendly YouTube channel, built in partnership with Mondo Media, the leading distributor of animation on YouTube, has officially launched. SpindoTV, a channel aimed at engaging kids ages 6-11, features both animated and live-action series. SpindoTV arrives on the heels of YouTube Kids, the new iOS and Android app that features familiar, brand-name series and shorts presented in a fun, safe and controllable video environment.

“There are a number of SpindoTV episodes that will sit comfortably on the new YouTube Kids app but several of our shows will appeal to a slightly older-skewing demographic,” says Josh Fisher, Senior Creative Director and Executive Producer for Spin Master Entertainment, one of the top five U.S. toy manufacturers. “We know from our research that these kids are already on YouTube in massive numbers.” Sick Bricks, Spin Master’s new toy-game-hybrid that has been getting rave reviews since it was previewed at Toy Fair in February, has also launched on SpindoTV as an animated series. With forty 90-second episodes in production, the series will also debut on Cartoon Network as well as Teletoon in Canada.

Hundreds of episodes will premiere on SpindoTV as part of a multi-year, multi-million dollar commitment to digitally-distributed original series. Also included in the initial series rollout are Adrenalini Brothers, Gummandos, Happy Together and Skater Vs., followed by a live-action, kids-vs-parents game show based on the popular Beat the Parents board game.

Mondo Media, the leading YouTube animation distributor for millennials, was brought on board to help Spin Master program, produce and market the channel. With over 2.5 billion YouTube views, Mondo is primarily known for animated series like Happy Tree Friends that appeal to older audiences.
