MIP TV, the international television programme market, where sellers and buyers from all over the world exchange product, takes place April 12th to 17th in Cannes, France. This years MIP is expected to reflect a rebounding international TV market. More than 100 TV series from around the world we be offered at MIP, such as DARIA, FAMILY GUY, FUTURAMA, and NORMAN NORMAL. The calendar of events include the following animation related programmes:
MONDAY APRIL 12TH11am MAGUS ENTERTAINMENT will hold a press conference and present the first episode of the animation series, SIMSALLAGRIMM.
12.30pm EM.TV will hold a press lunch and present the first episode of the animated series TWIPSY with producer Javier Mariscal (Invitation only).
12pm ITEL will screen two childrens animation series, 64 ZOO LANE and FOXBUSTERS, followed by an invitation only cocktail party.
6pm BBC Worldwide will host a cocktail party to launch ROTTEN RALPH.
TUESDAY, APRIL 13TH10am BRB Internacional will hold a press conference for the launch of the animated series FANTAGHIRO.
3:30pm There will be a screening and press conference for the Oscar nominated THE CANTERBURY TALES.
3:30pm MIP TV Conference on Japan: JAPANESE ANIMATION: REGAINING WORLDWIDE EXPOSURE.
5:30pm Carlton International will host the launch of a new series, DREAM STREET.
7:30 Fox Kids will host a press dinner (Invitation only).
WEDNESDAY, APRIL 14TH9:30-11:30am BOURSE AUX COPRODUCTIONS - MARKET SIMULATION, a session dedicated to children's programmes.
10:30am-11:30am BABAR and FANTOMETTE - production and sales development within the group will be discussed (Invitation only).
12pm Link Entertainment will host a photocall with the characters of the pre-school series THE TEDDYBEARS.
THURSDAY, APRIL 15TH10am Bandai Visual will screen JIN ROH, a new thriller from the creators of GHOST IN THE SHELL.
