MIPCOM News: Cromosoma Brings Big EBU Series Tom

Cromosomas big offering for MIPCOM Jr. and MIPCOM is TOM, an animated series produced with the EBU. The 26x26 series features a big, friendly dinosaur who goes on big adventures with a little girl named Wanda and a boy named Tip, while he searches for his long, lost homeland. Their journeys around the world offer insights into how to appreciate the world we live in.

Targeted for kids, 9-12, the EBU participating members include BBC, France2/France 3, ORF, RAI, RTBF, TSR/TSE, TVE, VRT, ZDF and Norma Animación.

Cromosoma will also be showing two projects pitched at the Cartoon Forum, ASHA and EMI & MAX. Asha, a seven-year-old girl from India, reveals what its like to grow up in a European city where living in a multicultural society is more fun. Asha and her friends sometimes encounter people who dont agree, resulting in problems and differences the kids try to solve peacefully.

Emi and Max are best friends, traveling the world to exotic settings with Emis scientific journalist mother. Targeted for kids, 9-13, EMI & MAX deals with scientific disasters, which are actually set off by an evil band of crooks. So the kids and the scientific journalist must uncover the real, manmade cause and determine a logical solution.

Xavier Ferrer, from the Cromosoma licensing department, and Judit Foz, from TV sales, will be in the Catalan Films stand, R33.24, to offer these shows as well as NEW ADVENTURES OF THE TRIPLETS (39x26), JUANITO JONES (52x13/26x26) and MINIMAN (26x13) from the Cromosoma catalog.
