MIPCOM News: 4Kids Brings Yu-Gi-Oh & Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

4Kids Entertainment Inc. has set MIPCOM 2003 for the launch of 26 episodes of the new TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES and 47 new episodes of the Japanese sensation, YU-GI-OH!

More faithful to the original comic book series, the new TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES brings back the adventures and irreverent humor of Leonardo, Raphael, Michelangelo and Donatello. Launching February 2003 on 4Kids Entertainments FOX BOX in the U.S., the TURTLES is already set to air on TF1 (France), GMTV (UK), Media Set (Italy), Fox Kids Europe and Latin America (satellite TV), TEN Network (Australia), SIC (Portugal), DR TV (Denmark), MTV (Finland), Teletoon (Canada), SABC (South Africa) and Childrens Channel (Israel) among others.

In its second season in the U.S., YU-GI-OH! consistently ranked as the #1 show for boys 6-11 and 9-14. Global broadcasters include RTL2 (Germany), M6 and Canal J (France), Nickelodeon (UK, Spain, Australia and Latin America), Sky One (UK) and YTV and TQS (Canada), Televisa (Mexico) TEN Network (Australia), RTL (Netherlands), VT4 (Belgium), among others. Produced by 4Kids Entertainment, YU-GI-OH! is an action adventure series that follows the story of Yugi, a smaller than average high school student who has to battle bullies during the day, but as his alter-ego, the Game King, has to battle monsters.
