MIP-TV News: Sesame Workshop Arrives At MIP-TV Ready to Play

Sesame Workshop arrives at MIP-TV with previous hits like DRAGON TALES and SAGWA, THE CHINESE SIAMESE CAT as well as a newly greenlit second season of PLAY WITH ME SESAME.

Featuring Ernie, Bert, Prairie Dawn and Grover, PLAY WITH ME SESAME is an interactive half-hour series mimicking a childs playdate, giving them lots of exciting ways to play along and participate with their favorite SESAME STREET Muppets. Ernies segment, Ernie Says (a la Simon Says), gets kids playing along. Bert invites kids to work on the computer, creating oatmeal art and matching and sorting socks. And Grovers Move and Groove with Grover gets kids singing and dancing to classic SESAME STREET songs. Seasons 1 and 2 are both 78x30.

On the animation front, DRAGON TALES will be available as a 65x22 or 130x11 property. The top-rated show features the adventures of Max and his big sister Emmy, who visit Dragon Land, a magical universe populated with lovable dragons where they learn that trying and not fully succeeding is a natural part of growing up.

Based on the book, SAGWA, THE CHINESE SIAMESE CAT, written by Amy Tan with illustrations by Gretchen Schields, the series follows the escapades of a spirited and curious young cat as she explores the world amidst the time-honored storybook setting of China long ago. The series has won the Daytime Emmy Award for "Outstanding Backgrounds for an Animated Production" and is available as both a 40x30 or 80x12 series.

Sesame Workshop will also offer at its booth #07.11 the tween live-action drama OUT THERE (25x30), ELMOS WORLD (45x15) and the legendary SESAME STREET (available in a one hour, half-hour and local co-production format).

Sesame Workshop is a nonprofit educational organization. Founded in 1968, the Workshop changed television forever with the legendary SESAME STREET. As a nonprofit, Sesame Workshop puts the proceeds it receives from sales of SESAME STREET, DRAGON TALES and SAGWA products right back into its educational projects.
