Oscar-winning HARVIE KRUMPET is attracting a raft of sales and tops the slate of projects Monster! Distributes is bringing to MIP-TV 2004. Monster has just closed sales with RTP Portugal, Kartunz Poland, Cartoon Network Spain and Yes Israel. HARVIE is also going to be seen on airlines, with Virgin and Continental snapping it up following the WAEA airline market last week.
Earlier sales of HARVIE include Arte in France and Germany, TSR Switzerland, VPRO in The Netherlands, TG4 Ireland and Madman in Australia. Yes in Israel has also licensed from Monster a half-hour model animation, APE, produced by Dublin-based Treasure Entertainment.
Other Monster animated offerings for MIP include: KIDS TEN COMMANDMENTS, a new five-part, half-hour animated miniseries featuring the voiceover talent of Emmy Award- and Tony-winning actors Peter Strauss, Tim Curry, Jodi Benson and Tom Bosley. Combining colorful 3D and rich 2D animation techniques, KIDS TEN COMMANDMENTS, from TLC Entertainment in association with SMEC Media and RichCrest Animation, is designed to communicate the importance of the Bibles Ten Commandments to children.
Also in Monsters animation catalog is THE STORYKEEPERS (13x30), recently picked up by PBC Korea; the 52x2 pre-school animated series WHY?, the 7x5 Oscar-nominated GIVE UP YER AUL SINS and HERMIE: A COMMON CATERPILLAR, from U.S.-based GlueWorks Entertainment, which is being made into a series. The Dublin-based distributor is also offering specials such as DOMINATO, THE LOST LITTLE CATERPILLAR, from Iceland-based Caoz Entertainment, THE TOLL COLLECTOR and THE LEGEND OF THE CANDY CANE.
