Mintus Promoted to Partner at Version2

Award-winning editorial, visual effects and design company Version2 has promoted editor Tina Mintus to partner. Mintus, who has been with owner/editor Vito DeSario for eight years, will head the company with DeSario and be responsible for new recruitment.

Were so comfortable with each other, commented DeSario. Its liberating to have a partner to share the responsibilities of running Version2, especially since Tina brings such a fresh outlook. Im very open to her youth and excitement, as well as her ideas for what to do with the company. With Tina, youre constantly reminded that she has great beliefs and values. Weve always bounced ideas off of each other, and now she will formally be part of the management team.

Version2 is my home and I never wanted to leave it, added Mintus. Now I have no reason to. Ive always felt a strong kinship with the company. Theyve nurtured and supported me in my career so this is my way of giving back as well.

Mintus launched her editorial career at the tender age of 20, when she left Canada for the film scene in New York. She dropped out of her Toronto high school to work as an assistant for director Laurie Lynd on the feature film HOUSE, produced at Torontos Norman Jewison Film Center.

She first assisted Editor Fred Jordan for several years and then began assisting DeSario in 1998. She was promoted to editor after two years. Mintus has since edited numerous spots for clients such as Samsung, Mercedes, Revlon, Legoland and Reebok, as well as music videos for artists including Ryan Adams, Slim and Jessica Simpson.

Version2 (www.version2.net), which recently joined forces with Liquid Light, provides design, vfx and creative editorial to clients in the commercial, broadcast and film arenas.
