Mind Candy Signs Deal with Sony Music

Global kids phenomenon Moshi Monsters is set to take the music world by storm after parent company Mind Candy confirmed a major partnership deal with Sony Music.

London, UK -- Global kids phenomenon Moshi Monsters is set to takethe music world by storm after parent company Mind Candy confirmed a major partnership deal with Sony Music. The deal follows the recent launch of Mind Candy’s own music label, Moshi Monsters Music.

The partnership will see the entertainment giant handle the UK distribution of Moshi Monsters’ forthcoming music releases. The deal kicks off with the debut Moshi Monsters Music album “Moshi Monsters, Music Rox!” which is available for pre-order now online (Amazon.co.uk, Play.com, HMV.com and iTunes UK) and launches on shelf in the UK (and on iTunes globally) from April 2nd.

Written and produced in house, Moshi Monsters, Music Rox! features twelve tracks from popular Moshi characters including The MonStars, Dr Strangeglove, Popstar Poppet, Big Bad Bill and Sweet Tooth as well as newly developed music characters, Bobbi SingSong and Zack Binspin. The music covers all genres from rock to Bollywood, and combines catchy tunes with witty lyrics that will appeal to both kids and adults alike. With the Moshi fan base already huge and almost 60m registered users worldwide it is hoped that the album will be a monster hit.

Moshi’s music move is lead by ex-Rockstar Jason Perry who experienced huge international success fronting rock band 'A'  and has produced many number one records for McFly and Busted’s front man, Matt Willis. Perry recently joined Mind Candy as Head of Music and will work closely alongside Sony.

Moshi Monsters, Music Rox! is available for pre-order in the UK now at Amazon.co.uk, Play.com, HMV.com and iTunes.  An exclusive launch party will be held at the Hard Rock Café, London at the end of March prior to the album hitting shelves in the UK on April 2nd. The album will also be available globally to download via iTunes.
