The Mill Names Marc Ruxin COO

Marc Ruxin has been hired as the coo of The Mill Group North America and Alistair Thompson has been promoted to md of The Mill New York.

Ruxin will be responsible for the growth, management and development of new products and services for The Mill and BEAM.TV. Ruxin brings 13 years of experience leading strategy, business development and marketing efforts on both the client and agency side of the technology and entertainment business.

Prior to joining The Mill Group, Ruxin was the evp of Strategy and Account Service for Gyro Group USA, a global B2B technology focused, integrated marketing agency, and held exec positions at two venture funded software infrastructure companies. Before that he was a WPP Group Marketing Fellow and spent time at OgilvyOne and at Enterprise Identity Group. Soon after that, he moved to San Francisco to oversee West Coast technology and marketing business opportunities for WPP. Ruxin began his career at EMI Records, where he worked in the A&R group managing artist development and marketing.

Thompson has been with Mill NY since it opened in his role as exec producer. Prior to setting up the New York office, he worked as a producer for The Mill in London for more than five years on such noteworthy commercials as Sony PlayStation MENTAL WEALTH, winner of Gold BTA craft awards for best post-production and animation.

Thompson began his career in the post-production industry 12 years ago, working for The Moving Picture Co. in London. Since the inception of the New York office in 2002, Thompson has overseen a radical expansion, quickly developing the Mill New York into one of the leading post- production facilities in North America.
