Mill Film Lands Tomb Raider Visual Effects

London-based feature film visual effects company Mill Film has been assigned the principal visual effects for the highly anticipated Paramount Pictures' TOMB RAIDER. Directed by Simon West (CON AIR, THE GENERAL'S DAUGHTER), the live-action feature film is inspired by the popular interactive video game of the same name. Principal photography is scheduled to start at Pinewood Studios this summer. Antony Hunt, managing director of Mill Film, said, "Mill Film is currently gearing up to recruit talented freelance effects artists within all disciplines and at all levels, including 2D and 3D character animation. We are planning to invest in a wide spectrum of technology and platforms. Unix-based inferno*s will play a key role but we also expect to invest heavily in Windows NT and Mac software." Mill Film is currently working on a number of other projects including Michael Apted's ENIGMA starring Kate Winslet and the Warner Bros./Castle Rock production PLUTO NASH starring Eddie Murphy. Mill Film's credits include GLADIATOR, THE WORLD IS NOT ENOUGH, BABE: PIG IN THE CITY and ENEMY OF THE STATE.
