'Mike The Knight' Continues His International Charge

HIT Entertainment has announced that its hit CGI pre-school series “Mike the Knight” is riding triumphantly into four new territories – Russia, Spain, Poland and Turkey.

London, UK -- HIT Entertainment has announced that its hit CGI pre-school series ‘Mike the Knight’ is riding triumphantly into four new territories – Russia, Spain, Poland and Turkey.

The series has been sold to TVE (Spain), Mini Mini (Poland), DigiTurk (Turkey) and TV Karusel (Russia).

In a separate deal, HIT Entertainment has sold 14 hours of programming to Emirates airline. The bundle contains two hours of content taken from seven different HIT series including: ‘Mike the Knight’, ‘Thomas & Friends’, ‘Fireman Sam’, ‘Pingu’, ‘Bob the Builder’ and ‘Angelina Ballerina’.

These new deals bring the total number of international broadcast sales for the top rating medieval pre-school property to 21. ‘Mike the Knight’ has already been sold to Super RTL Germany, Cartoon Network (Italy), Hop TV! (Israel), YLE (Finland), RTE (Ireland), NOS (Netherlands), VRT (Belgium), Minimax (Eastern Europe), Canal Panda (Portugal) and EBS (South Korea) and enjoys top ratings on CBeebies (UK), TV1 (France), Treehouse (Canada), Nick Jr (US) and ABC (Australia).

‘Mike the Knight’ is a co-production between HIT Entertainment and Corus Entertainment’s Nelvana Studio. The series was created by Alexander Bar (‘Lunar Jim’) and the head writer is Marc Seal (Head writer, ‘Bob the Builder’). The show follows the adventures of an energetic, cheeky knight-in-training who is driven by his passion to help others and his determination to be the best knight he can be.
